The topic of my blog is sports and microbes, specifically, skin infections, like Athlete's Foot. I posted three blogs; in two of them I talk about Athlete's Foot (one of them is personal experience and the other one is general information about one of the fungus that causes Athlete's Foot), and in the third one I talk about MRSA, and how one should not overreact about getting a skin infection while practicing sports for coming into contact with other players. As I started writing my blogs, I decided I wanted to learn more about Athlete's Foot, since I think it is the easiest skin infection to get, and I wanted to inform the public about what it is, its symptoms and how to prevent it.
The purpose of my blog is to inform the public in general, but specially athletes, about what Athlete's Foot is, what its symptoms are, how it spreads and how we can prevent getting infected. I think this is effective because it is informational, but I think I could expand into other skin infections and not only Athlete's Foot. My purpose was clear on my most recent blog "How to Play Defense on T Rubrum" because I explain what causes Athlete's Foot and how people can prevent getting infected.
People who read my blog could be athlete's and people researching about this infection. I just checked my stats on this blog and my blog has been viewed twenty-five times. These were people from the United States, Russia and Germany. My blog is been used as a source too. I have to say I am really impressed. I was not expecting my blog to be viewed by other countries, not even to be used as a source.
